Premature ejaculation (PE) is more common than you may think

Ejaculation happens when a man releases semen. Usually, ejaculation happens when he or his partner desires during sex, but ejaculating before it is desired can also happen. Premature ejaculation can be frustrating for many men and affect their sexual relationships, as well as the overall enjoyment of sex. Studies have shown that 33% of men in the U.S. suffer from PE. What Causes Premature Ejaculation (PE) Serotonin Levels?
Research hasn’t found concrete evidence as to why some men have PE and others don’t, but there is some research that indicates the neurochemical serotonin may be part of the process. When this chemical is in high concentration within the brain, it increases the amount of time until an ejaculation. In contrast, when serotonin levels are low, the time to ejaculation is shorter, causing premature ejaculation. In order to effectively treat PE, we offer methods such as bypass sublingual therapy, or TRI-MED therapy. We look over your symptoms and recommend the best course of action. These therapies have been proven to be effective in treating P.E.
Nerve Endings Which Are Unusually Sensitive Biologically
Some men have more sensitive penises than others. Penis oversensitivity is caused by highly sensitive nerve endings in the penis, causing a much shorter time until ejaculation. These nerve endings also lie closer to the skin, making them more stimulatory and less protected. If you’re struggling with PE, it’s important to know if you have high sensitivity, that may be a factor.
Treating Premature Ejaculation
At the Oklahoma Men’s Clinic, we offer various options for PE treatment. One of our options is TRI-MED therapy, which has been proven effective. This therapy allows a man and his sexual partner to determine the duration of sexual intercourse with no stress about the loss of firmness after ejaculation. This also allows for more closeness between a man and his partner as well. This therapy has had tested and viable results, giving patients positive solutions to their PE issues.
Your Sexual Partner and PE
Unfortunately, PE not only affects you but also your sexual partner. It isn’t uncommon for PE to cause frustration or a loss of closeness between sexual partners. Feelings of anger or shame can stress or damage relationships. It’s important to get professional treatment to make sure your relationships don’t suffer due to this issue. Don’t wait to get help.
Age and PE
PE can affect men of all ages, as it happens for various reasons, not necessarily aging. However, aging can cause a higher probability that a man will have PE. Studies show natural aging is not a key contributor to PE, but can be a factor. These changes can naturally lead a man of advanced age to ejaculate earlier.
Numbing Sprays or Creams
Numbing sprays or creams are one way to treat a highly sensitive penis to premature ejaculation. These creams and sprays will help dull the sensations felt by the penis, and prolong the time until ejaculation. However, these creams and sprays are only effective in a certain time window, after which the chances of sustaining an erection or desensitizing your partner can increase.
